On 22 April 2016, Lecturer Guilherme Vasconcelos Vilaça delivered a guest lecture 

entitled "Law, Globalization and Legal Scholarship" at the School of Law of Shandong 

University. The talk was hosted by Professors Hanna Wei and Jian Feng and approached 

the challenges that globalization brings about for teaching and research in law. 

In particular, and against the background of what many authors call "global/transnational 

law", Guilherme proposed a conceptual approach that helps settling the vocabulary of 

the discussion and thus avoid hasty normative conclusions.
