The 64th International Astronautical Congress was held at the National Convention Centre in Beijing from 23-27 September, 2013.The theme of this year’s event is “Promoting Space Development for the Benefit of Mankind”. The event has attracted more than 35-hundred delegates from around the world, ranging from scholars and students to government officials, entrepreneurs and media personages. Lecturer Dr. Jinyuan SU and PhD Candidate Peng WANG were invited to attend the Congress and the 56th IISL Annual Conference.
Dr. SU gave a special report entitled “The Delimitation between Airspace and Outer Space and the Emergence of Aerospace Objects” at the IISL Annual Conference. The thesis “The Tragedy of Commons — the Case of Space Debris”, co-authored by PhD Candidate Peng WANG and Master Candidate Yuelin LIU, was at the poster presentation of the Conference. Throughout the Conference, PhD Candidate WANG watched the 22nd Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition Global Finals.
